Jason Rubin has become a head of Oculus worldwide studios. In 1985 Rubin founded Naughty Dog and for some time worked as a CEO at Flektor and MONKEY GODS, a social and mobile gaming firm. Being a president of MORGANrose he has created two series of comic book. In January 2013 Rubin said goodbye to THQ after fruitless attempts to change the company.
“There have only been a handful of times in my life where I saw something that I knew would change everything,” commented Rubin his decision to join Oculus team.
Rubin will be responsible for a new company’s department and is going to visit Oculus games development centres in Menlo Park, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Irvine.
“The awe-inspiring tech Oculus is building is a portal into an incredible world that my daughter will one day consider to be normal. The moment I put it on, I wanted to help define that future,” he adds.
Rubin is very excited about things Oculus tries to bring to life. “The team at Oculus has been working to push the boundaries of what’s possible with hardware and software. I’m excited to bring together a new division dedicated to building high-quality VR content that helps define the platform and inspire others to do the same.”
