A few days ago Oculus VR announced that its Software Development Kit (version 0.4.1) is now available with Mac OS X support.
Also, Oculus Runtime and Unity Tuscany are available. Although such announcement was long anticipated by many (as it makes it more convenient for users the majority of whom uses Apple’s Mac operating system) the development has also several drawbacks. For example, Unity applications have greater latency and manual restart is needed after renewing firmware. However, with John Carmack as the main figure in development department, it is highly likely that these drawbacks will sooner or later be eliminated.
