Oculus Uses a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Front Panel in Its Rift

iFixit, a web repair manual, reveals the details of cooperation between Oculus VR and Samsung. The portal has purchased an Oculus Rift headset to find out what is inside it. According to a final report available on www.ifixit.com the screen of DK2 headset is a complete Galaxy Note 3 front panel.

A display is covered with a rubber case on top but when removed camera, home button and speaker cutouts as well as a Samsung logo can be clearly seen. It seems that a widely announced cooperation with Samsung that was kept a strict secret for quite a long time ended up with the delivery of ready-made Note 3 displays.
